  • Our trained and certified consultants will visit your home or business, give an assessment of the 3 stages of protection which are perimeter, indoor and valuables.  On completion of the assessment we will send you a written quotation which will include a diagram of object placement.

  • There are a number of phases involved with installing an alarm system, walk through and client acceptance, installation, testing, configuration with the user application and user training on how to use the app.   This can vary depending on complexity from a couple of hours to a number of days. 

  • If you purchase a security system from DEFEND.IT it is our professional responsibility to ensure your system is set up correctly and provides the maximum security benefit.

  • Please ensure all windows and doors can be easily accessed, and clear any obstructions where sensors or cameras might be placed.  Also any power points that were requested during the consultation phase have been installed and are available for use. 

  • Intrusion detection use sensors on doors, windows, and sometimes motion sensors to detect unauthorised entry. When triggered, they can sound an alarm and notify a monitoring centre or the homeowner.

  • Any configured sirens attached to the hub will sound, the system can be self-monitored or connected to a CMS

  • We recommend testing your system once a month and scheduling a professional maintenance check annually.  DEFEND.IT offer maintenance plans to ensure your system is properly configured at all times.

  • A standard system includes door/window sensors, motion detectors, a control panel, surveillance cameras. Additional components might include glass break detectors, smoke alarms, leak protection and smart home integrations.
